Following A Recipe For Honey Chocolate Chip Cookies

By Stephanie Green

As a novice baker, you might find most cookie recipes somewhat simple with which to follow along. You do not get confused and you know what to do for each step of the baking process. The same can be said for the recipe used to make honey chocolate chip cookies. As you may find, you could bake up dozens of these treats without putting out a lot of time or effort.

The basis for any good cookie recipe falls to the variety of ingredients for which it calls. Many of them will share a list of common ingredients. Before you start baking, you may want to make sure you have both brown and white sugar on hand as well as vanilla extract, baking soda, refined white flour, eggs, and baking chips on hand. You also will require something with which to measure out the ingredients.

The first step of the recipe involves mixing together the ingredients that are wet or soft. These include the eggs, sugar, and vanilla. While you are mixing, you want to make sure that the mixture does not have any lumps in it. The lumps could make their way into a cookie and ruin the final result. After it is creamed, you may set it aside for later.

Combining the dry ingredients can become a messy step because of their dryness. They tend to fly out of the bowl and onto your clothing and counter or table surface if you whisk them too briskly and do not take care to stir slowly. However, once they are fully combined, you may then add them slowly to the creamed mixture. The result will be a fine and crumbly dough that is ideal for making balls.

The final step of this process involves putting in the baking chips. The chips could bounce out of the bowl if you pour them in too quickly. Instead, putting them in slowly allows them to cling to the dough so you can make balls out of them.

Before you put any balls of dough on the baking sheet, you are encouraged to spray or grease the pans carefully. Greasing the pans ensures the dough does not stick. Each cookie should be able to be lifted up carefully after it is done baking. You might use a number of substances to grease or oil the pans including coconut oil, butter, margarine, or cooking oil spray.

Once the treats are done, you may use a spatula to lift them gently from the pan's surface. A spatula is wide enough to keep them intact while you transfer them to a cooling rack. The ideal length of time to allow them to cool is between a half hour to an hour. By then, they will be cool enough to eat so that you avoid burning your tongue and mouth. A cooling rack can be substituted with wax paper or aluminum foil.

When you want a delicious treat for your family, you may try baking chocolate chip cookies with honey in them. You might find the process relatively simple and straightforward. It also will give you dozens of treats that you can share with people you love.
