Reduce Pastry Hassle With Wedding Cupcakes

By Larry Jones

A wedding is a special day for the couple and their close friends and family. It is a day filled with joy and laughter. However, there is a lot of work and money that goes into making that day oh so glorious. The pastry is one of the most expensive parts. It is also the centerpiece and as such must be simply breathtaking. Wedding cupcakes are now on the rave. They are a fresh take on wedding pastry.

This option allows room for a little more wiggling. How many guests are there? How many cakes will each guest be allowed? Which size does one prefer? Alternatively, maybe, the sizes could be varied. You know, to accommodate both sweet tooth guests and those who only rarely indulge.

A traditional wedding pastry can be very costly. It can go up to thousands of dollars. This is a lot of money for flour and some eggs that probably will not be enough for everyone at the ceremony. With this option, one can save some money and experiment with different flavors and decorations. Elegance can still be achieved regardless of cost.

A baker can be engaged to do all the work but with clear instructions on the vision. One will equip them with the theme and color scheme. It is also best to decide on the decoration so they do not go overboard. One can also buy pre-baked pastries and decorate them. This offers the pride of feeding people something made with own hands without the tedium of making batter and sweating near the oven. Some people are kitchen savvy and therefore possess the ability to do everything. They mix the batter, bake, decorate, and only need a little help to transport them to the venue.

You might go as crazy as you like with the flavor. There is even a mocha-flavored pastry now. Imagine having five different flavored pastries at the ceremony. It would be so much fun and exciting. You can play around with the frosting and decoration. The lining can be a foil or fancy linen. There is no wrong way to do things.

Inexpensive does not amount to inelegant. The display can be used to add the desired pizzazz. One can hire a stand or tiers. It is also possible for one to design their own stand if the market does not provide their envisioned display. There are electrical stands that add a lighting feature to the display. A cake tree is also a viable idea. It is a stand has individual holders for each pastry. The result resembles a tree. This is the most preferred option.

A traditional pastry will need to be sliced and served to guests. Either by passing around the plates or by having someone go around handing out pieces. It will require additional personnel and might prove unsanitary. Having individual pastries will be easier to serve and manage. One can also incorporate the different dietary preferences of the guests with this option.

Tradition is an important part of life. You can incorporate the tradition of cake cutting into the ceremony by having one little pastry. The couple can still feed each other pieces bigger than their mouths and play with frosting.
