Many places that one can visit in the Los Angeles area that are comfortable and inexpensive, some are trendy and others may be the place of the moment according to local media. Even if a person does not have a car, they do not have to go to the usual trendy places to get good food. The South Bay area is near not only the 405 but also it is also home to many Redondo Beach seafood restaurants.

Visiting Redondo Beach is a treat as there are places to shop and fun things to do that do not cost a lot of money. There are eateries on Pacific Coast Highway and other stretches that are established and gained excellent reviews. Yet, many would say the Redondo Beach Pier is the best place to get great seafood.

The Redondo Beach Pier is home to many small and chain restaurants that offer a wide variety of options. For anyone that wants to walk around or sit in a casual environment, there are takeout places that serve fish, shellfish, and appetizers like Buffalo wings at a reasonable price. The fish is always fresh and the prices are reasonable.

There are also a few casual sit down eateries that are inexpensive and offer ocean views. Some of these have comedy or karaoke. Though this does not happen until dark, many of these places have fresh meals that range from the classics like clam chowder to unusual dishes prepared by award-winning chefs. Many places request that guests have covered feet and a shirt in order to get food service.

Places like Old Tony's on the Pier is a long-time spot for seafood. Though a little less casual than other places, reservations are suggested, especially in the late hours and holidays. Their menu has a wide selection that ranges from appetizers to meals that are simply unforgettable. There is also live entertainment by an established list of performers.

There are also chain restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and Joe's Crab Shack that have many tasty offerings in a comfortable atmosphere. In recent, a number of sushi restaurants and bars have karaoke performances. For some, these and the comedy shows are tied with food when it comes to preference.

When it comes to parking at the Pier, there are several options. Underground parking is best for anyone planning to stay for more than a few hours or desires some protection. Some restaurants offer valet parking, and with minimum purchase is validated. The lease expensive is the street and metered parking, which is recommended for short visits or the daytime hours.

Whether a person is visiting the Pier or any other Redondo Beach attractions, there are sure to have an adventure. While not as crowded as the Westside or distant as the south beaches, this area offers ease while driving as well as interacting with the local culture. Anyone looking to visit Redondo Beach seafood restaurants will find it to be a welcome change from typical Los Angeles dining.
