Get a Lob of This!

In times of economic hardship, one might say that an article on lobster isn't the best of calls. Despite this however, how you can deny the tastiness of it? Recession aside, we all still attend extravagant events or treat ourselves to the odd night here and there so why not celebrate the lobster at occasions such as these. Two of the most commonly used varieties of Lobster come from America and Europe so we're definitely in the right place to give it a whirl!

When it comes to cooking lobster dishes, many a chef will tell you to cook from live for the absolute best results. Furthermore, it's important to keep it simple by either grilling, baking, boiling or steaming your lobster, using very little seasoning. Without doubt, lobster is, and has always been, considered a more luxury cuisine; therefore, it really is best not to overdo the cooking of it. Why not try a simple butter sauce or lemon juice to serve with your lobster? Or, for something more wholesome, perhaps a classic risotto or rice accompaniment? Moreover, don't forget to try one of the most delicious recipes of all, the stunning Lobster Thermidor (that's grilled and smothered with a cheese and mustard sauce to you and I).

Classics aside, there is also a whole new collection of lobster recipes set to get your tastebuds tingling; recipes by a surge of new-age chefs taking the restaurant scene by storm with their fusion menus. One that comes to mind in particular is a dish called Marine Lobster Benedict. Yes, you read that right, I'm talking about grilled lobster, on a bed of steamed asparagus and toasted muffins, accompanied by a fine cut of bacon, hollandaise sauce, and lemon and parsley to taste have you ever heard of anything so delicious!
